Microsoft has launched its latest flagship gaming platform Xbox Series X which boasts of superior sound along with advanced specifications compared to any other video game console on the market today. The Xbox Game Studios is constantly innovating their gaming output, by working with third-party game publishers to push for the next generation of gaming excellence.
We’ve gathered some of the most anticipated Xbox games from developers who have already proven their metal by bringing out some of the best Xbox games of various genres.
Everything that we know about the first original role-playing game from Bethesda in 25 years is that it is set in space. Surprise. The leading game-studio has been internally discussing this mysterious project for about a decade. The developers have commented less about it and the teaser trailer for the game was released on E3 in 2018. Todd Howard, the director and executive producer at Bethesda Game Studios told everyone to be patient at E3 in 2019. Bethesda has partnered with two other game development studios for their recently released game, Fallout, which received a huge reception from fans. Starfield will be Bethesda’s most potential release, among their current projects.
Dying Light 2
This upcoming survival horror action role-playing game is written by Chris Avellone and will be published by Techland Publishing for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. The game is a sequel to the open-world first-person survival horror, action-adventure video game Dying Light released in January 2015. Following the first game that is set long after the zombie-apocalyptic events, Dying Light 2 will be set in a Mad Max-like world where humanity is trying to rebuild.
The upcoming first-person shooter video game is co-developed by 343 Industries and SkyBox Labs, published by Xbox Game Studios for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox’s next-gen console, Project Scarlett. The developers haven’t revealed many details about the FPS game for now, but it is expected to head into a new direction compared to the previous games by the developers. Infinite is one of the most anticipated game will be the biggest Scarlett title on launch date and will be a great reason that people might buy the next Xbox. Neat deal.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2
The upcoming adventure game, which is a surprise sequel to Hellblade, is developed by Ninja Theory and will be published by Xbox Game Studios on Xbox Series X and Microsoft Windows. The game, which is a bit of mystery so far, is expected to be launched across the Xbox One platforms too. The less revealing yet scary teaser trailer had face paint/blood, scary singing and chanting, and more disembodied arms with fingers trying to grab at you. Enough for now.
Gods and Monsters
This action-adventure game set in the mythological Greek world from the creators of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Ubisoft and Ubisoft Quebec was announced at E3 (2019) for a 2020-release. The game will be published by Ubisoft for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. This whole new storybook adventure game, from the team behind Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, will be a fantastical adventure experience in which The Gods of Olympus imbue you with their powers to kill mythological creatures that have invaded the Isle of the Blessed.
The upcoming action-adventure video game is developed by Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montréal and published by Square Enix. The game, which is slated for release on September 4, 2020, is now available for pre-order. The game is inspired from the long-running comic book Marvel Comics superhero team, the Avengers, and its adaptations in other media. The game gives you an exciting experience with playable characters including Iron Man, Ms Marvel, Hulk and more. The game is expected to look a bit like Bungie’s game series, Destiny, but has superheroes instead of Guardian classes.
The upcoming unity role-playing video game of Wasteland series is announced for release on August 28, 2020, by inXile Entertainment. The game will be co-published by inXile Entertainment, Deep Silver, Koch Media for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Linux, Macintosh operating systems. The squad-based game, featuring synchronous and asynchronous multiplayer with turn-based combat, can be played from an isometric perspective. The players have to make various choices that impact the game’s world and the story. This game features tactical combat, exploration, a reactive story and brutal ethical decisions. You can play either in single-player mode or co-op.
The upcoming role-playing game, co-written by Marcin Blacha, Jakub Szamałek and Stanisław Święcicki and co-developed by CD Projekt and CD Projekt RED, is announced for release on September 17, 2020. The game which will be published by CD Projekt for Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and Microsoft Windows is now available for pre-order. The game which is adapted from Cyberpunk franchise and is set in the dystopian Night City, an open world with six distinct regions. The game engages players in a first-person perspective to assume the role of V, a customisable mercenary, acquiring skills in hacking and machinery.
The upcoming real-time strategy game, developed by King Art Games, is set in an alternate reality of the 1920s, just after the end of the Great War. The developers are in constant collaboration with a community of professional strategy game players to understand what they expect from a modern RTS. The game, which will be published by Deep Silver for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows, is all about steampunk mechs battling it out across Europe in a post-industrial revolution era war for supremacy.
Already launched on PC earlier this year, the game is expected on Xbox sometime later in 2020. The game is an XCOM-like spin on the Gears of War universe and is set in the early days of the war with the subterranean Locust horde. The game is a 40-hour long campaign in which you have to manage a team of soldiers in turn-based tactical combat.
