How To Choose The Right MacBook?

You have decided to buy the Macbook, and you probably thought that it would be easy to choose one. But trust us on this one. Even with four laptops you will have a tough time zeroing in on the best Apple Laptop. Some Pro models were upgraded in July 2018 including the Macbook Air. 

Here’s a detailed list of all the Macbooks, just to make things a bit easier.

MacBook 12 inch

The MacBook, introduced in April 2015, is one of the smallest and lightest laptops by Apple. It is available in Silver, Gold and Space Grey colour variants. You can choose between the 8GB RAM or 16 GB RAM. It allows 12 hours of watching movies and around 10 hours of internet usage. Apple claims that it has 30 days of standby. It is a pretty laptop but is expensive and low powered. Another negative is that it has only one USB-C point for data transfer and for charging. You will need adapters for a normal USB as the USB –C is not yet popular and is not commonly available.

Who is it for?

This is a good laptop if your travel a lot, and also good for business needs with a substantial battery life.

MacBook Air

Macbook air is the sleekest and slimmest laptop available in the lot, with a 13.3-inch screen. The Macbook air was updated in October 2018 and was available from November 2018. It is a light laptop and suitable for students and people who have the requirement of casual usage. It is available in two versions. Macbook air does not have the option to upgrade its processor. But you can convert the 16 GB RAM to 1.5 TB on a made to order basis. It includes 2 Thunderbolt USB-C port. The 2015 Air has a USB port.

Who is it for?

This laptop is for the people who are looking for a long battery life. Apple claims it comes with a 10-hour web surfing and video viewing time, but you can get around 12 hours of video usage. It is portable and comparatively cheaper than the others Macs. If you are a students or just have simple business needs, then the MacBook air is for you.

MacBook Pro

The MacBook Pro has a number of options to choose from. It is available in two screen sizes, along with a Touch Bar option. You can forgo the Touch Bar if you want it at a lower price. The no touch bar option is not upgraded, while the other options have an upgraded version. The touch bar works like a touch screen on the keyboard and can be customized. It also provides finger print security.

Who is it for?

The 15 inch MacBook Pro is great for people who need a lot of storage. It allows you to upgrade your memory till 4 TB. Apparently the fastest Macbook around. If you are a photographer, video editor or a designer who loves a big screen as well as a gaming device, go for it.
