The man behind spectacular artworks, Joseph Klibansky a sculptor and painter who has moved the world of art with his creations. Originally from South Africa, and studied in the Netherlands. Joseph first rose to fame in the field of art with his paintings of surreal cityscapes and he later shifted to the world of sculptors.
Since his childhood, Joseph Klibansky has been into art where he was supported by his family and friends through small exhibitions. His sculptures are driven by the modern world and as such references to technology are often found through elements in his sculptures.
He uses techniques of figurative and abstract layering in his work to establish a relationship between the thing, essence, and human life. His sculptures address phenomenology the study of structures of consciousness as experienced from the first-person point of view.
He is known for his sculptures which are conceptual and not related to pop art. Some of his famous sculptures are what describes a contrast between what is seen and what really is.
Leap of Faith
This sculpture is made from the materials bronze, paint, painted bronze, polished bronze. This particular sculpture signifies the burden we as mankind have created for ourselves and that further burden we have to carry to the future.
Birthday Suit symbolizes the celebration of life and love in its purest form. The bronze monkey is also holding a bunch of beautiful roses as an “icon of optimism” towards the future.
Reflections of Truth III
As the name suggests, this sculpture by Joseph Klibansky poses a question as the artist says, when is enough, Enough? It asks the question to society how we are burdened with our own work because we don’t find satisfaction and we don’t know what satisfaction really is.
