Kila Raipur Sports Festival (Rural Olympics) is an annual event that takes place in Qila Raipur, Punjab, India. Rural Olympics in Punjab have their own fan following. Once you witness these, you will forget all others.
Rural Olympics were inaugurated in the year 1896 by Inder Singh Grewal and have been trendy ever since. It has both conventional and unconventional activities you can not find anywhere around the world. People can train themselves on their own and participate with full zest. The enthusiasm and energy you will witness here will drown you in its charm.
The highlights in the Rural Olympics are usually Gatka, the north-western indian form of martial arts and also bullock cart racing which now is modified into horse racing. There are competitions and cultural activities that take place and will leave you flabbergasted.
