Running on a CGC of 9.0, four copies of Action Comics #1 have sold for over a million dollars, the highest at 3.2 Million USD, in 2014! Another copy, Action Comics #1 with a CGC of 8.5 sold for $1.5 Million.
Amazing Fantasy #15, $1.1 Million!
Peter Parker aka Spiderman was introduced to us in the memorable Amazing Fantasy! The comic book, out in 1962, brought to us the spider-bitten superhero create by Steve Ditko and Stan Lee, and the comic was so widely loved that Amazing Fantasy #15 sold for 1.1 Million USD in 2011! This particular copy had a CGC of 9.5.
Detective Comics #27, $1.075 Million!
Another comic, another evil-fighting superhero! In the world of Gotham lived the dark knight, aka our very own Batman, and he came to us in the Detective Comics. Seeing as our hero has no superpower whatsoever, the Detective Comics have been sought after passionately, representing the divine in human. Also bringing to us the loved Gordon, AND introducing the acronym DC (Detective Comics), these copies are obviously very wanted. A CGC 8.0 copy of Detective Comics #27 sold for a whooping 1.075 Million USD, back in 2010! The second most expensive copy is the Detective Comics #27 with a CGC of 7.5, and was sold for $657,250 in 2010!
Batman #1, $567,625!
Batman #1 isn’t when Bruce Wayne was introduced to the world, but it is when he swore to destroy the evil on earth after his parents were murdered. Batman #1 made sure that our Dark Knight remains forever engraved to our memories. For this very reason, a copy of Batman #1 with a CGC Of 9.5 was sold for 567,625 USD in 2013!
X-Men #1, $492,937!
A very beautiful, good as new and almost impeccable copy of X-Men Comics #1 has a CGC of 9.8(!!!) and was sold for $492,937 back in 2012. If you have read about or watched X-Men, you will surely get the hype that these comics started. Introducing historical characters such as Professor X, Iceman, Marvel Girl and Magneto, this copy of X-Men #1 sold for nearly half a whopping million dollars!
