<p>There’s never a bad time for new things, is there? As bitter-sweet as it can get, it doesn’t take too long for the old and classic to be replaced. Fresh after being banned by the Indian government, PUBG has found an Indian replacement in phonetic twin, FAU-G. And here’s all that we know about it. ;</p>

<p>Developed by Bangalore-based mobile game publisher nCORE Games, FAU-G stands for Fearless and United Guards. The Multiplayer Action Game, though launched by Akshay Kumar later last week, will be available to gamers mostly by the end of October this year.</p>



<p>The FPS outing is quite similar to the recently banned PUBG. But if one were to compare teasers of both the games, there are quite some differences when it comes to aesthetics and interface. The teaser revolves around members of the armed forces going about in battle, to the tunes of a war-esque background score. The 2019 <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URBy9t6e8rY&;t=114s">PUBG Stand United trailer</a> though, featured civilians apart from those in combat, picturised to a lyrical song. According to reports, the first level in FAU-G will be based out of the Galwan Valley territory. ;</p>

<p>The launch also made prominent the fact that it had associated itself with the Indian Government’s ‘Bharat Ke Veer Trust’ initiative. The fund-raising project is focused on giving homage and support to the members of the Indian armed forces. ;</p>



<p>Needless to say, trolls and memes across the internet had a field day with the launch of the game. While some morphed the name of the game on packets of Parle-G biscuits, others took a more political stance with their humour. However, earlier this weekend Twitteratti also broke out with speculation that the poster of FAU-G was probably <a href="https://www.news18.com/news/buzz/is-akshay-kumars-fau-g-game-poster-copied-from-stock-image-twitter-wants-to-know-2851743.html">not original.</a></p>
