<p>The island is known for its handmade woven laces. These laces are made by the women of the island. They also make lace tablecloths and lace material, which usually takes weeks to finish. You should also visit the Museo Der Marletto and learn more about the art of lace making and then go out shopping for same beautiful laces. ;</p>

<p>Burano has its own leaning tower. The island has a leaning bell tower which is visible from the Burano Square. It is a 15th century bell tower and a great location for photo ops. Take a boat tour around the city to learn about its culture and traditions. The island even has its own opera house, called the Gian Battista Tiepolo. ;</p>

<p>Eat like the locals in Burano and try the local  ;fresh fish dishes. Do try the &lsquo;risotto de gó;&rsquo;, a rice dish cooked in the broth extracted from the gó; fish. If you are not up for the local fish then you can always enjoy a pizza in one of the local pizzeria. Try the ice-creams that are sold there. Some have really good and local flavors. ;</p>
