<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What is Met Gala?</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-justify">In the simplest words, it’s an event that gives a chance to the celebrities to dress in the most bizarre manner. In more complex words, it is a fundraiser event that takes place annually. The money generated here goes for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New Your City. The event happens in the most extra manner, from the theme to the dresses that the celebs pick are some of the most unique ones. There is no chance that you will see those outfits anywhere else other than the Met Ball. Literally, no other event, no matter how big and classy. Met Gala, which was formally famous as the Costume Institute Gala also marks the yearly beginning of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibit! The event was founded by Eleanor Lambert and is organised by Vogue.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">When did the Met Gala start?</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-justify">The whole thing started in 1949. With the passing years, it became one of the most famous events in Hollywood and the fashion industry. The invitation list changes every year and consists of famous and talented people from music, film, Broadway, and fashion, and more. The theme changes every year. The first Met gala that ever happed was a midnight dinner with fifty dollars per ticket. The purpose was fundraising for the newly opened Costume Institute. Met Gala raises a large amount of money every year, the current chairman of the event is Anna Wintour.</p>

Celebs choose the most unique dresses, props, or entries for the event. Some of the most iconic ones are the Grand Entrance of Billy Porter, Zendaya’s Cinderella moment, Jared Leto with his own head as a prop, Lady Gaga with her 4 in one dress, and so on!
