<p>On New Year&#8217;s eve, the popular German midfielder, Toni Kroos, tweeted a New Year&#8217;s wish that looked like this:</p>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en">
<p dir="ltr" lang="und"><a href="https://t.co/m8nE0yAwsP">pic.twitter.com/m8nE0yAwsP</a></p>
<p>— Toni Kroos (@ToniKroos) <a href="https://twitter.com/ToniKroos/status/815334139142533120">December 31, 2016</a></p></blockquote>
<p><script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p>
<p> ;</p>
<p>Apparently, the midfield engine had replaced the numbers &#8216;1&#8217; and &#8216;7&#8217; with the Brazilian and German national flags for the 7-1 victory that Germany registered over Brazil in the 2014 World Cup Final.</p>
<p>While the world was still talking about the tweet, Brazil legend Ronaldo decided to answer it in his own way by posting the following message on his official Facebook account:</p>
<p><iframe style="border: none; overflow: hidden;" src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fronaldonlr9%2Fposts%2F1317483614977118%3A0&;width=500" width="500" height="479" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe></p>
<p>The Brazilian was referring back to the 2002 World Cup Final when Brazil drubbed Germany 2-0, and Ronaldo himself had scored a brace.</p>
