Individual differences abound in this world. Everyone is born and built differently, some more than others, and such distinctiveness can sometimes cause inconvenience to a person. But nothing is more awe-inspiring and beautiful than when people turn around their seemingly tragic situations and embrace themselves with an artistic vigor. Especially when technology has advanced phenomenally, using it to live a worthwhile life that lets you rise above stereotypes is what we should all aspire to do. Take a look at these talented people, for instance, who have customized and upgraded their prosthetic arms to an extent that you can only imagine.

David Aguilar, a brilliant engineering student, was born without a right forearm. It seems God put this extra mass into his brain, however, because he managed to create his own prosthetics using the OG building blocks- LEGO bricks. Yep, you heard that right. In fact, he plans to continue on this as a project to create affordable prosthetic solutions for those who need them.

This next one is drastically different from the LEGO arm, but none the less in its beauty and creativity. It is a botanical prosthetic arm designed by Sophie de Oliveira Barata for body confidence advocate and model Kelly Knox. This genius piece of art is one among the many aesthetic prosthetic limbs that are a part of Sophie’s vision to match them with the wearer’s personality and interests. Look how pretty it is, aside from serving its intended purpose!

‘To have your profession ingrained into your every muscle’ never had a greater significance. French artist, J.C. Sheitan Tenet has a right prosthetic arm that doubles as a tattoo gun. He has mastered tattooing with his left arm too, but the swag of having a literal cyborg-like characteristic is unmatched. The utter control he exercises over his prosthetic is admirable!
