You can literally use any coffee to make the ink for your painting, all you need is to mix it with water, but every coffee can give a different kind of color and texture to your painting, the above picture is a representation of it. The quantity of coffee you mix with your espresso can also give you darker or lighter shade.

The next step is to choose a medium, you can paint with coffee on any medium but a medium with different textures can affect how the color is retained. You can also try it painting on tissue paper or normal canvas and finally choose the most suitable medium one for your painting.

Before you start drawing with your coffee ink don’t forget to draw a rough sketch using a pencil or a pen and with the right brush draw your strokes.
