<p class="has-text-align-justify">As summer approaches, residents of Madrid try to hide – traveling to beach cities to bask in what the Spanish capital doesn&#8217;t offer. But this is set to reverse as Europe&#8217;s largest artificial beach, the Alovera beach, is set to open in Spain in the near future! Located only at a half-hour distance from Madrid, the Alovera beach will have an area of 105,000 sq. meters, of which 21,000 sq meters will be consumed by the water sheet. For an authentic beach experience, more or less 15,000 sq. meters will be covered by sand. </p>

<p class="has-text-align-justify">The most intriguing aspect of the largest urban beach of Europe is that, unlike other artificial beaches, you&#8217;ll only have to fill this one once in its lifetime. This is due to the anti-evaporation technology used here, which reduces the amount of water lost by evaporation, and because the water will be regenerated instead of replaced. </p>

<p class="has-text-align-justify">This means that even though it&#8217;s artificial, the leisure beach is extremely eco-friendly and will consume less water than the irrigation of the same area of a green park would. </p>

<p class="has-text-align-justify">The beach complex is a little world in itself – a car park, children&#8217;s pools, zip lines, volleyball courts, and much more will be offered. Alovera beach strives to become a pioneer in water sports such as surfing and sailing, which will also be enjoyed by all those who visit. </p>

<p class="has-text-align-justify">This urban beach, a large &#8216;crystal lagoon &#8216; is a project by Rayet Construction SA along with Crystal Lagoons, a firm that has built urban beaches all around the world. Given the large area that the leisure park and complex will cover, the budget of the project is 15 million euros. The artificial beach will also generate employment, employing nearly 330 people directly and indirectly. </p>
