<p class="has-text-align-justify">It makes complete sense that the most expensive Pokemon card to ever have been sold belongs to Pikachu. The Pikachu Illustrator card was distributed to the winners of an illustration contest in Japan in 1998. There are only 12 copies of this card in good condition, even though 39 copies were printed. The Pikachu Illustrator card has, on many occasions, been sold as the most expensive Pokemon card in the world. The present card that was valued at for $5,275,000 is a GEM-MT 10 and was sold to Youtuber Logan Paul in 2021. ;</p>

<p class="has-text-align-justify">The second most expensive Pokemon card was auctioned off by Iconic Auctions, and has Charizard on it. Sold at a staggering price of more than $400,00 in March 2022, the value is explained by the rarity of the card, for only 54 Gem Mint 10 copies of this Pokemon card are in existence. ;</p>

<p class="has-text-align-justify">Sold by Heritage Auctions for a whooping $360,000 in 2021, there are apparently only two copies of the Blastoise Wizards of the Coast Presentation Galaxy Star Holo Pokemon card. The card, being rare as it is, has never been sent to PSA for grading! The two copies were created before Wizards of the Coast was about to pitch the Pokemon trading card game idea to Nintendo. ;</p>

<p class="has-text-align-justify">The Ishihara GX Promo Pokemon card was distributed to employees, family and close friends to commemorate the birthday of the President of Pokemon Company, Tsunekasu Ishihara. One autographed copy of this card was auctioned by Goldin, and it is a PSA7. It was sold at $247,230! There also exists a GEM-MT 10 copy of this card, which has not been sold yet!</p>

The card is in Gem Mint 10 condition, and was awarded to ; winners in Japan in 1998 during a parent-child Pokemon tournament. There are 100 GEM-MT 10 copies of this card in circulation. ;</p>

The beloved Lugia belonged to Pokemon Gen II, and with so many Gem Mint copies in existence, the price of this card might soon grow exponentially. ;</p>

This PSA9 card became one of the most expensive Pokemon cards ever sold, and the most expensive No. 2 Trainer card in history. Originally awarded to participants at the Pokemon World Championship in 2006, held in California, these cards are extremely rare to find. ;</p>
