<p class="has-text-align-justify">Italy is home to world&#8217;s one of the largest furniture-making centers. Ferruccio Laviani, an Italian designer created a cabinet that has been precisely carved to look like a distorted digital photo. The designer created this piece of work which instantly got famous for furniture brand, Fratelli Boffi and named it the Good Vibrations storage unit. This storage has been carved from oak by a CNC machine, which is a computer-controlled robotic router. In a layman’s language, the robot helped in carving this striking piece of wood to that of an image to achieve this level of perfection.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-justify">This cabinet was released in 2013, at Salone del Mobile in Mila, but it wasn’t exhibited until 2014 due to the complex design of the cabinet. The idea of the Good Vibrations emerged when the designer started cutting up pictures from old analog videos. The twisted cuts from the fast-forwarded tape were the inspiration for Ferruccio. ;</p>

<p class="has-text-align-justify">The designer likes to revive the old furniture and give it a twist with different techniques and is open to possibilities such as 3D techniques and then applies it to the wood. The Good Vibration cabinet is funny, interesting and a mix of craftsmanship and low-quality distorted images which resulted in this cabinet. ;</p>



<p class="has-text-align-justify">Despite the use of a machine which the designer thought would make this a much quicker process than carving with hands, the machine was in the contrary slow to avoid burning the wood.</p>
