<p class="has-text-align-justify">Banished from the Hero&#8217;s Party (Shin no Nakama ja Nai to Yuusha no Party wo Oidasareta node, Henkyou de Slow Life suru Koto ni Shimashita) will be part of Funimation&#8217;s anime season as a result of its collaboration with Kadokawa, the company announced. It joins other highly anticipated shows such as Mieruko-Chan, Restaurant to Another World Season 2, Selection Project, and Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon: The Second Act.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-justify">Red, an adventurer who was kicked out of his party, settles down in a small town with a girl named Rit. The series is being animated by Studio Flad and Wolfsbane, with Makoto Hoshino as director and Ruriko Watanabe as character designer.</p>



<p class="has-text-align-justify">Kanon Takao (Edens Zero) voices Rit, Ryota Suzuki (Children of Whales, Pretty Boy Detective Club) voices Red, and Ken Uo (Basilisk, Dragon Ball Super) voices Newman. The ending theme song &#8220;All the Same&#8221; is performed by popular Jpop group JYOCHO.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-justify">Banished from the Hero&#8217;s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside follows Red, an ex-knight who was once a member of a group of adventurers tasked with defeating the evil Demon Lord Taraxon. Red&#8217;s younger sister, the prophesied and gifted hero Ruti, led the team. God bestowed a divine blessing on each of the team members, endowing them with a certain amount of power and skill set. Red was given the blessing of Guide, which automatically matured him to level 31, a level of maturity that most people don&#8217;t reach until they&#8217;re ready to retire.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-justify">Because Red already had a very high blessing level, he didn&#8217;t improve as much as the rest of his comrades, which caused the Sage Ares to see him as a hindrance and forced Red out of the party without consulting the rest of the team. Red then went to the land of Zoltan, a town known for its slackers and slow pace of life. Red disguises himself as a low-level adventurer and opens an apothecary. He eventually re-connects with a former comrade named Rit, who was also living in Zoltan as a high level adventurer to escape some family drama. Rit moves in with Red, and the two decide to team up to run the apothecary.</p>



<p class="has-text-align-justify">This new &#8220;slow life&#8221; Isekai trend has gained a lot of traction among fans. High fantasy is typically associated with epic quests, grand battles, and high-stakes conflict. The idea of reducing all of those familiar tropes and providing the audience with a more relaxed, character-focused story that combines all of the joys of a slice-of-life series with a magical setting is appealing.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-justify">Fantasy worlds and the stories that populate them have nearly limitless potential. While the audience&#8217;s traditional entry point is alongside the hero and their quest to accomplish something great, as with history, sometimes the smaller, more intimate stories are the more interesting ones. Our protagonist Red&#8217;s goal, like that of last season&#8217;s Drug Store in Another World, is to live a satisfying slow life while running a pharmaceutical shop. Whereas the atmosphere of that series seemed to be more focused on the softer, low-stakes drama of its well-established isekai hero, we&#8217;re getting more focus in this case on Red&#8217;s previous life and skills, as well as what he left behind.</p>
