SHOK-1 is a self-taught artist based in London who has been spray painting urban walls around the world during the last 36 years. His graffiti are exceptionally popular, and thanks to his perfectly developed technique, he has become one of the most well-known figures in street art. He is one of the pioneers in Europe to expand the urban culture from New York. His unique X-Ray looks like a graffiti style presenting a kind of diagnosis of life in the 21st century, sometimes in glowing health and other times pathological.

Darkly, beautiful and patiently worked with subtle layers, X-rays are one of the most difficult subject matters a painter could attempt. He applies delicate translucent washes of spray paint more akin to watercolor than the usual heavy usage of the medium. His obsession to perfectly paint every little detail is ever-present. No tape or stencils are used to render this translucent effect. Only his imagination, technical skill and more than 30 years of experience working on the walls gives as result such unique creations.

As a creative person he uses different mediums to display and exhibit his own art. Doors, smoth and bricked walls are his most used and favorite medium to paint in, but he works on big sized canvas as we can see.
