<p class="has-text-align-justify">Meta&#8217;s new promotional campaign depicts just how imaginative the metaverse will be. </p>



<p class="has-text-align-justify">Most of us are still adjusting to Facebook&#8217;s announcement of rebranding itself as Meta. In the middle of confusion and chaos, Meta&#8217;s internal creative team, Creative X, along with agency Droga5, has directed a commercial film showcasing the mere potential of what lies in the future of social media. </p>

<p class="has-text-align-justify">To tap into this unfamiliar concept, the company chose to utilise a familiar one – a 2D painting, more specifically the 1908 piece, <em>Fight between a Tiger and a Buffalo</em> by Henri Rousseau. ;</p>



<p class="has-text-align-justify">Students are on an excursion when this masterpiece catches their eyes, and is suddenly transformed into an immersive world, that of virtual reality. ;</p>



<p class="has-text-align-justify">The painting no longer boasts only of two animals, but of a jungle with extensive flora and fauna, including lush greens, flamingos, and snakes hanging from trees having fun. ;</p>

<p class="has-text-align-justify">Meta&#8217;s campaign showcases the beginning of what&#8217;s to come, the company sharing its hopes and ideas with us through the commercial. Meta&#8217;s Global Director of Brand Marketing says, “A lot of people are wondering, ‘What is the metaverse?’ This piece is really intended to inspire people; it’s a story of imagination and how our imaginations will ultimately define the metaverse.”</p>



<p class="has-text-align-justify">The hypnotic advertisement will be released on all of Meta&#8217;s social platforms, and broadcasted, too. </p>
