<p>Amazon recently launched its cloud-based gaming platform cutely christened Luna at the recently concluded 2020 hardware event. Gamers will be able to aces over 100 games &#8211; going by what Amazon says &#8211; wirelessly. Here’s what we know of Luna and what you should know too. ;</p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">Games a plenty</p>



<p>As for now, Amazon says it’ll be throwing open a variety of games across genres.From action, adventure, platformer, and indie, to shooter, RPG and racing. These include a variety in developers too &#8211; Ubisoft, Capcom, 505 Games, and Team 17 to name a few. Going by the official statement, the titles users can expect as of now are Resident Evil, Valhalla, Paper Beast, Everpace, Metro Exodus, ABZU, the Surge 2 Control, Panzer Dragoon, A Plague Tale: Innocence and GRID amongst others. ;</p>

<p>With plans to add other devices in the future, the platform is compatible with PC, Mac, FireTV devices as well as Chrome and Safari web browsers. As for controllers, you can use the Luna controller (at $49.99 during the early access period), Xbox One controller, DualShock 4 controller &#8211; if none, the good old mouse and keyboard combine works too. ;</p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">Introductory features</p>



<p>The Luna+ (much like Netflix maybe?) is a library of new and favourite game titles. You could play on two devices at a time at up to 1080p/60fps. The platform will be powered by ; Amazon Web Services (AWS) and NVIDIA&#8217;s GPUs.</p>

<p>In the coming days, users could see Amazon integrate Luna with Twitch (nice move!). For the uninitiated, Twitch is a leading game streaming platform worldwide, which accounted for 67.6% of overall online game streaming (in hours) in the second quarter this year. Comparatively, YouTube <a href="https://yodoozy.com/why-blockchain-is-the-next-big-thing-in-gaming/?v=a98eef2a3105">Gaming</a> (which teamed up with Google’s cloud gaming service Stadia) matched up with 20% and Facebook for 11% and finally, Microsoft&#8217;s Mixer ; at 1.4%. Alexa will enter the scene too. For all the voice commands, linking Amazon&#8217;s Echo devices and other Alexa-powered devices.</p>

<p>Luna seems pretty promising. Not just as a standalone service, but also in the competitive space. Luna will also have a Ubisoft channel with similar features, except minor drawbacks like being able to stream only on a single device. Amazon says both &#8211; Ubisoft and Luna + will have 4K streaming soon. Luna does offer a decent enough fight to Stadia and Microsoft xCloud. ;</p>
