<h2 class="wp-block-heading">So what is this Crypto Toilet?</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-justify">BeeVi is a prototype toilet which is a concept proposed by Cho Jae-Weon. He is an environmental engineer professor in South Korea. This <a href="https://youtu.be/s6z5OduN8vo" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">prototype toilet </a>is an eco-friendly way that can not only help in obtaining methane but will also help the university students to earn a few extra bucks. The students will earn ten &#8216;Ggool&#8217; which is basically a crypto coin. These crypto coins can then be used in the university cafe &#8211; a smart way to earn your coffees for sure! </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How is this toilet adding value?</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-justify">These toilets do not rely on water. Instead they in turn, save a lot of water. These toilets use a vacuum pump which puts the waste into an underground bioreactor. The bioreactor consists of microorganisms that break the waste to produce methane. Hence, a source of fuel and energy! Professor Cho says that an average person&#8217;s waste can produce at least 50 litres of methane. Now, that is something to note! And this amount of methane can actually make 0.5kWh electricity! A genius deal for sure! Who knew pooping was that beneficial? Okay, kidding, everyone knew that. The concept of bioreactors to use waste and produce fuel is not new. However, molding the idea into something so easy and beneficial is surely commendable!</p>
