I have found myself saying this not once, but enough times. No, it’s not because I have a relatively better memory than the rest, or because I’m superhuman. It’s simply a gut feeling. Personalities, faces- they tend to remind all of us of something, somewhere we’ve been (Deja-vu is real, you can’t fight me). But, we’ve all been there and done THAT. There are some character or distinct personality traits that remind us of people or things we’ve encountered in the past, or witnessed in any form.
There are some TV characters who will most certainly remind you of someone you’ve known. Sometimes, it’s not just you speculating, but your gut confirming these assumptions for you. Anyway, here’s a list of 5 TV Anime characters who I’m sure exist in real life. I know you’ll agree! Here we go
Super Junior’s Eunhyuk And Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece)

Straw hat “Luffy” is a fictional character and the main protagonist of One Piece. This Anime series is centered around him and in the show, he has acquired the properties of rubber after accidentally eating the supernatural “Gum-Gum”. That being said, Eunhyuk is from the boy band Super Junior and the only outrageous feature (besides Monkey’s name of course) that brings these two ‘characters’ together, is the striking resemblance between them. This K-Pop idol and our beloved Anime character look pretty much the same. It feels like Eunhyuk could be the living version of Luffy, but is he as flexible as rubber? Only he would know.
SHINee’s Taemin And Rasiel (Reborn)

Lee-Tae-Min or Taemin or as he’s fondly referred to as Idol’s Idol, is a singer, actor, dancer, and songwriter. He started at the age of 14 and is one of the members of SHINee, the boy band. He has released some fire tracks as a solo artist. Rasiel, twin brother of Bel from Reborn and our ‘Idol’s idol’ do have something in common. These two characters have an uncanny resemblance to one another. Rasiel first appeared in Target 220 (a shot of the hand), and officially appeared at the end of Target 221. Both Bel and twin brother Rasiel share the habit of saying “Katching” when angry or annoyed. The question here is, does Taemin say “Katching” when he’s mad too? I have a strong feeling he does.
NCT’s Ten And Nine Aka Arata Kokonoe (Terror In Resonance)

Nine aka Arata Kokonoe is a fictional secretive young fellow who’s absolutely calm and one of the two protagonists of the show, Terror in Resonance. He is one of the masterminds behind ‘Sphinx’, an unknown terrorist group that he’s partnered with his childhood buddy, Twelve. He leads a lowkey life and is stern and stoic. NCT’s Ten aka Chittaphong Leechaiyapornkul is a Thai singer and dancer. He’s been a member of NCT since 2016 and is quite known in the K-Pop world. Nine and ten follow each other in math but as luck may have it, Arata’s personality is starkly similar to one of Nine’s appearance where he’s wearing glasses and looks broody. This broody, nerd-like appearance is closely similar to Arata’s character on the show. Who inspired who, then? We will never know.
BTS’s V and Kaneki Ken (Tokyo Ghoul)

Kim Tae-Hyung is also known as his stage name V (not for Vendetta), is a member of the almost too popular boy band BTS. He is the vocalist for the band and this 24-year-old boy distinctly reminds us of someone we’ve seen somewhere. Kaneki Ken is a fictional character from the TV series Tokyo Ghoul. He is the main protagonist of the show and is a one-eyed ghoul living under the identity of Haise Sasaki, also the First Rank Ghoul Investigator. V, a gorgeous member of the boy band, and Eyepatch (Kaneki Ken) look surprisingly similar. One of V’s appearances as an Anime character Kaneki Ken looks strangely similar and we can’t help but think of Kneki and V at the same time. The thought of the two come together because V looks like the walking, talking, live version of Kaneki Ken. Does V also have an alternate identity that we know nothing about?
Luhan and Nagisa (Iwatobi Swim Club)

Luhan is so attractive that one can’t help but stare. This Chinese singer and actor and an ex-member of the boy group Exo and sub-group Exo-M. In 2014, this beautiful boy was ranked as the sixth most popular entertainment star in China by China National Radio. Remember that time when he appeared wearing the pink buttoned up sweatshirt? Nagisa from Iwatobi Swim Club is a purple-eyed alluring fictional character from the Anime TV series Free!- Iwatobi Swim Club. In the show, he reunites with his old friends and is a breaststroke swimmer on the Iwatobi High school swim team. Now, if you look at the two characters, there is an evident resemblance between Luhan and Nagisa. To begin with, they’re both so beautiful. Just, so pleasing. Personally, I’ve thought of Luhan not once, but an ample amount of times while looking at Nagisa from the show. My gut tells me they’re related or, Luhan is the real-life version of one of my favorite anime characters. Either way, it’s difficult to look away when they’re on screen.
