Made of all things joyful and adventurous! We present to you, DJ Sumirock! She is an 83-year-old DJ who cooks at a restaurant in the evening and rocks the dance floor after midnight. How cool is that! “People will leave the dance floor and go for a drink if the music is boring, but will stay on the floor and dance if they enjoy the music I play,” says Sumirock.
Leading her life on fleek, she now holds the Guinness World Record for being the oldest club DJ in the world.
Sumiko Iwamuro, better known as DJ Sumirock, runs a dumpling restaurant during the day. She is quite legitimately living two exciting lives in one at this age!
She also travels around the world, namely New Zealand and Paris, to put her musical foot forward.
A sorted retirement plan, isn’t it? Well more of glamorous than sorted, who wants to be boring anyway?
