A pilot has photographed a mysterious red glow over the Atlantic Ocean, where there was supposed to be nothing but water for miles. The red glow looks like volcanoes under the ocean are bursting, or perhaps aliens have conquered the earth, after all. Shared over various social media platforms like Reddit and Twitter, the fiery light looks terrifying. The pilot, who wishes to remain anonymous, has admitted to never seeing anything like this before.

Before the pilot had captured the occurrence, he had already noticed the glow. However, looking at the photo preview on the back of his camera, he was able to confirm it. Pictures have gone viral across platforms and citizens of the internet have come up with their own theories, the most amusing of which is the relationship of the light to the horrifying Upside Down in the Netflix Original Stranger Things. More theories point out towards this being the sign of an impending apocalypse, doomsday, or perhaps an alien invasion with the UFO giving off bright red light.

The red-orange glow that was below the aircraft, above the Atlantic, looks like the reflection of a fiery pit. The pilot who captured it was utterly terrified; a similar occurrence had come to notice in 2020 when another pilot was flying over the Pacific Ocean.
Many have given a practical explanation to solve the mystery: the red glow in fact, seems to be coming off from red LED lights that are installed to capture saury breeds of fish that are attracted by the glow. The color helps fishermen trap these small dishes easily.
But what do you think? Are you dreamy enough to believe in the theories – aliens, or volcanoes under the ocean? We are!
