Meet Li Xiaofeng, a Beijing-based artist who is making dresses out of shards of chinese Porcelain! Yes, you heard that correct, the artist is smart enough to use a garment inside but the main attraction in this unique art is the use of these shards of porcelain that he sews with a thin metal wire. The artist has a way of connecting the past of the Chinese culture through this old porcelain to the future by his dresses. The creation goes beyond dresses as he is not limited to just Ceramic Porcelain dress but also involved in making suits, jackets, hats, and other such stuff.
t’s not a surprise that the work of such a talented artist with his unique art was also displayed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in fact, he collaborated with brands like Alexander McQueen and Lacoste. The colors with heavy presents in the Ceramic Porcelain Dress are mostly blue and white, and the entire dress not only looks like a dress but also is a perfect piece of sculpture that can be ready to wear as well.
