Smart Speakers
Smart speakers like the Amazon Echo, Apple HomePod, Google Home, etc; are like the youngest members of your family. Pretty to see, delicate to handle! For devices with screens, like the Google Nest Hub and Amazon Echo Show 8, you can gently go the screen cleaning with a wipe made for the same and the fabric-covered parts with a plain microfiber cloth. If the fabric has a stain, dampen the microfiber cloth a little. If you own all-plastic devices like Amazon Echos, use a slightly dampened microfiber cloth on the surface.
Smart Watches
Your fitness band gets sweaty each time you do. For bands made of rubber, rinse with water or wipe them down with a small amount of rubbing alcohol. If you’ve put on moisturizer or sunscreen lotion with your band, use a gentle skin cleanser on it. If marks remain, try erasing them with a rubber eraser. If that fails, mix one part baking soda and one part water and then rub the mixture into the band and wipe off with a wet cloth. Nylon bands can smell because they easily pick up sweat. If it so happens or if the band is stained, mix some dish detergent and water to wipe them down, then follow with plain water. Metal bands should be wiped with a lint-free cloth. Leather bands can be cleaned with water and a microfiber cloth , along with a good leather cleanser followed by a conditioner.
Phones Or Tablets
Phones and tablets have an oleophobic coating that can come off easily, so it is advised to wipe them down with distilled water and a barely textured microfiber cloth. Further, use cotton swabs to clean around crevices, like the edges of screen and buttons. If you can’t get any Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, buy some 99 percent isopropyl alcohol, distilled water, a spray bottle, and a disposable microfiber cloth. Form a solution in a spray bottle: 70 percent alcohol and 30 percent water. Spritz the cloth with the solution, and thoroughly wipe your phone. It is recommended that you put on a tempered-glass screen protector so that you don’t damage the actual screen. Before you put the phone case back, clean it with the same solution and a cloth and let it dry completely. Make sure you wash your hands after cleaning.
Laptops
Gently turn your laptop upside down and with good care, shake out the keyboard to rid it of the biggest and most obvious invaders: dirt and crumbs. Make sure your laptop is unplugged and the battery is removed. Lightly dampen a microfiber cleaning cloth and gently clean all the plastic or metal surfaces. To clean an LCD screen, use a product manufactured for the same, along with a microfiber cloth that will prevent those marks that other cleaners can leave. For touch screens, you might use an eyeglass cleaner applied to a microfiber cloth.
Headphones Or Earphones
Earphones or headphones is that one device that remains closest to you- that is, in physical contact with your body. It is recommendable for over-the-ear headphones to clean them with a microfiber cloth dampened with minimal amount of water. AirPods and other all-in-one units must be cleaned only with a microfiber cloth. To de-germify, grab the same solution you made for your phone, spray it on disposable microfiber cloths and gently wipe the entire surface. For the earphones, detach the eartips and go over them with some water and a tiny bit of soap applied to a microfiber cloth. Rinse them with water. For the body, wipe down with a microfiber cloth. Bonus tip: spray a disposable microfiber cloth with the alcohol and water solution and use that.
