Instagram is the perfect platform to promote artists and fashionistas around the world. Obviously it is not a platform where the only content is memeI. It has so much more to offer! I bet that all of you know and follow at least a few artists or models on Instagram. Don’t you? Well, while scrolling through my Instagram feed, I chanced upon Kelseyanna Fitzpatrick, an amazing head-to toe Makeup Artist.
If you love wild, bizarre and extravagant make up, you will surely love her creations. Kelseyanna is a Vancouver-based make-up artist, a member of Kat Von D’s Artistry Collective and cruelty-free beauty activist that is fierly gaining popularity and getting famous on social media because of her unique designs. Obscure, colorful, aesthetic, all in one.
Make-up is just a new medium. She tries to capture her own idea of beauty because for her beauty is what takes her breath away.
She uses her face as a clear canvas. She even decolorated her eyebrows to make them unnoticeable to not catch the attention in the picture, so her make up could speak for itself. High saturated smoky eye make up is very common in her style. She creates a vibrant and powerful contrast with the fairness of her skin.
Glossy effect is a must for Kelseyanna. Moreover, the frequent combination of it with diffumined deep coloured lipsticks creates an interesting and hypnotical juicy-neon effect.
This kind of look is not only used on lips, she uses it on eyelids as well!
Fitzpatrick builds her own style. She has an inescapable love for macabre and fantastical creatures.
As an artist and young soul, she doesn’t limit herself to using the make up products only. She experiments with different objects like string, fresh petals, and with star sequins as well. Nothing is off limits for her!
Kelsayanna ensures that the make up material that she works with is 100% cruelty free and preferably vegan. Some of her favorite products come from different brands like: Kat Von D Beauty, Sugarpill, Lit Cosmetics, Cozzette Brushes or Skoah Skincare.
Her favourite thing about makeup is that she can create a living piece of art that is noI just restricted to paper. She believes that it’s a really cool way to express oneself outwardly and set oneself apart.
