Weddings are desired to be lavish and extravagant. All our brides-to-be, we have a splendid record for you to consider! An 8,000 meters long wedding dress train…
It was created in France

The world’s longest wedding dress train was presented in Caudry, France. Caudry is a town famous for its production of lace. This dress was created by a company called Dynamic Projects on December 9th, 2017.
The train in the bridal dress is almost like a piece of art. It makes the dress ethereal, aesthetic, and appealing. To be exact, the train is 8095.40m long. The artisans of this company spent around 2 months making its pieces and then sewing them together.
Have a look at the pictures below to get an idea of how humongous the longest wedding train is!
The dress has set a Guinness World Record
Oh yes! The company, Dynamic Project, was presented with a certificate of Guinness World Record.
Christophe Dumont, from a French Surveying Firm called Briffaut along with Rob Molloy, Guinness World Records adjudicator, honored the company with the certificate. The measure too was overseen by them. This record was attempted at the annual fundraising event, AFM Telethon. It helped in raising money for non-profit organizations like French Muscular Dystrophy Association.
At the end of the event, this gorgeous wedding gown’s train was cut into segments and sold. The money collected from this was humbly donated to Telethon Charities.
Once a record holder, always a record holder!
Wedding dresses with trains are not something new
Previously, in 2006, Dynamic Projects had achieved this record, but with a considerably shorter train which was 1,200 m long. This record was later broken by a bride in China with a train of 4,000 m. Dynamic Projects and the town of Caudry, being famous for the production of lace, wanted this record back in their name.
Trains in wedding dresses are often quite long and require a group of bridesmaids to manage them. But this dramatic and extravagant shiny ivory gown took things to another level!
