Not everything we enjoy makes complete sense. While our happy relationship with our screens and with social media can still have some logic behind them, many others we find satisfying can prove illogical. Like playing with play dough, watching soap cutting videos(argh!), spending hours watching kinetic sand and never getting enough of falling dominoes.

Falling dominoes are perhaps one of the most satisfying things you can witness in real life and on the internet. The sudden, pleasing shatter of a pattern that took hours to build somehow triggers a calming reaction in us. This is one of those few times when Physics is fun for all of us.
Domino effect is a chain reaction between the tiles of the dominoes game. Arrange the tiles in a pattern, build a building, a face, the world – sky isn’t the limit at all – and then slightly poke the first or the last tile. In a matter of a few seconds(or less), the ‘domino effect’ takes place. The tiles fall down and, if the maker has great insight, reveal a pattern.
We have compiled the best falling dominoes of instagram. Watch them, replay them, love them. These little tiles have the potential to make your day 100x better!
That’s probably the most satisfying sound on the planet
It looks less like a chain reaction…
…and more like electricity travelling, honestly.
Perfect rainbows…
…remain perfect even after falls!
And if you didn’t know till now…
Colour changing dominoes exist, and they reveal new patterns when they fall!
These dominoes aren’t falling
They are blooming!
And so are these!
Does this remind you of something?
The video reminds us of watching slo-mo videos of kinetic sand.
As satisfying as it is to watching these videos, we can’t help but be in awe of the incredible talent and patience it takes to build structures only to crumple them. The few seconds of bliss, though, make it worth it.
Love satisfying things? Watch how this man can make a knife out of anything. We mean it.
