Branded as the Strongest Beer In The World, Snake Venom beer can only be drunk in sips. It contains a record ABV of 67.5 % which is higher than most Vodka or Whiskey, which has an ABV of 40%. It is brewed by the UK company Brewmeister (Keith, Scotland) and is not available for purchase in the US yet. But if you visit the UK, you can get it for 75USD.

Brewmeister recommends drinking it in shots of 35ml, so we can say it is not made for the light hearted. A brewmeister spokesperson said that “The liquid is too dense and therefore it cannot hold the bubbles in the same way a standard beer can.”
Hard To Find Whiskey’s website describes its brewing process as told by Brewmeister, that it is “brewed in Moray from smoked, peated malt using two varieties of yeast, one beer and one Champagne…it is frozen several times after the fermentation process, and the ice crystals removed. This concentrates the alcohol, flavour, and body of the beer as water is removed each time. The beer is then fortified with alcohol to increase the strength further.”

Obviously, the smell of Snake Venom overpowers its taste, which is of hops, malt and fruit (faint) Given that it cannot hold bubbles it also would not be fizzy like other beer. The Brewery and we warn, therefore, to take it easy on the challenge.
