We grew up hearing that our ancestor, the early man, was a monkey. As we aged and read more in history books, we found out that, in fact, primates are close to us, even though they aren’t exactly monkeys.
Some of the things these primates, more commonly but not always correctly referred to as ‘apes’ do leave us laughing because of the mere fact that their acts are more human than we give them credit for. Not only some of their actions, either. It is just in the way they look, walk, eat, snatch, take on well-schemed robberies and perform everyday activities that we are reminded of their closeness to us.
Which primate do you think could most easily pass as our cousin?
