Technology has sure evolved at a much higher rate than we ever imagined. I mean the first light bulb was invented in 1879 and it took us less than a hundred years to not only further take the evolution of electricity ahead but we literally reached the moon by 1969! Then came the first telephone in 1876, the major breakthrough in communication, and again it took less than a century for humankind to not only further evolve to wireless communications but we launched our first satellite in 1958!

I mean it’s only sensible to say that humanity takes just a few years to use an entirely new invention, evolve it and come out with something so advance by the end that the connection between the two inventions seems almost unrecognizable! Isn’t it?
The same can be said about this new step taken by Japan, yes, launching a satellite is nothing new by now but a wood satellite! Obviously, it’s going to be a breakthrough!
Yes, you read that right, Japan is all ready to launch its first wooden satellite in 2023, actually, no, let’s make some corrections, Japan is going to launch the world’s first wooden satellite. The idea is an initiative by a Japanese logging company Sumitomo Forestry and Kyoto University, with a much-needed hope of promoting wood as a material that can be used in technology in the future. The reason to appreciate and support the concept are many, like the wooden satellite while coming back to earth will be much less trouble to the earth’s atmosphere as it will completely burn up in the atmosphere itself without releasing any harmful chemicals. On top of that, wood being a hindrance in controlling the machine should not be a problem as wood allows electromagnetic waves to pass through, so the mechanism inside the wood structure like the antenna and such can be easily controlled!

The entire concept is a much sustainable try that will allow humanity to go deeper into our technological advancement while also keeping the environment in mind! I mean remind me why we love Japan so much? Well, I guess the answer is clear, they are simply a country that mostly never forgets about humanity! Also because I am an anime fan and I know how everyone loves anime!
