What gives you the perfect-slurp experience in a bowl of ramen? Some time back, we talked about how the Japanese art of cooking ramen has seen a new phase, the beautifully and naturally colorful ramen. Needless to say, not only do these(and all other) ramen bowls look perfect, they are also foodgasmic and wholesome. And utterly, butterly delicious! But these vibrant ramen bowls aren’t the only pageant winners in town. Quite honestly, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder when it comes to this staple.

But what is it about ramen that has made the world turn to flower-y descriptions?
The simplest answer is that the joy of ramen starts not when you begin to eat it, but from the moment you start thinking about it. If you’re cooking these at home, the effort that goes to prepare the broth makes the bowl so much more rewarding. If, in case you’re eating ramen outside, the excitement and the waiting do the same job.

Every time our beautiful ramen bowls are ready, the tongue, the eyes, the nose and the heart await a surprise. The broth will sometimes be milky, sometimes warming and spicy. The noodles? Sometimes slippery, sometimes chunky – but always so filling. The toppings may vary, and no matter what your food preference is, you’ll find at least a bowl suited to your taste.

Needless to say, ramen is one of the most satisfying and filling things you can eat. Or cook. Or watch.
