Safe to say our living rooms have become our world. Workload has shot up. Laptops are now being used for Zoom calls more than ever before. Hunger trips are made not to the roadside snack stall but to the door to pick up our delivered food. And most of us in all probability going out on solo dates from our bedrooms to the balcony. Isn’t it then just the obvious thing to do to keep air at home clean and healthy? Let’s face it. The news headlines are the only toxicity we can afford.
Coway Sleek Pro
As the name suggests, the air purifier isn’t bulky but rather sleek and easy to place around. The filtration system has three components to it. First a pre-filter, then a carbon filter and finally the green anti-flu HEPA filter. Not only does the purifier show you the level of pollution in the room, but also gives you control of the air speed.
Blueair Blue Pure 411
Almost mistook this one for a bluetooth speaker. But that’s what the selling point is too. Ultra glam, ultra stylish. The purifier comes with a mechanical filtration system (also three stage) and an activated carbon filter. It can filter out particles and smoke as well. Though the filter isn’t HEPA certified. Another downside? No automatic shut-off option.
Molekule Air Purifier
With capabilities (reportedly) to destroy pollutants nearly 1000 times smaller than the ones featured in HEPA tests, this purifier is a killer product. No pun intended. Suited best for those suffering from allergies and other respiratory issues, the purifier comes with a dual filtration system. First, it catches the largest pollutants, then cleans the air using photoelectrochemical oxidation. What’s more? Sleek and elegant to look at. Carry it around like your coffee flask.
IQAir Healthpro 250
First up, this isn’t easy on the pocket. Not close to being easy. But again, it’s designed more for those suffering from breathing problems. The brand claims to be one of the best in the market (and online reviews aren’t hugely different either). With an F8 PreMax Filter and the V5-Cell MG filter, the purifier packs a greater punch with the activated carbon filter and H12/13 HEPA filter.
Sharp FP-J60M
Comes complete with a plasmacluster ion generator, activated charcoal filter, H14 grade HEPA filter and what not. Again, another entry on this list for those looking for purifiers for a home where the residents suffer from respiratory problems.
What else then? With a range of purifiers offering utility, affordability, healthy air and stylish looks all at one, there’s no room for excuses.
