The Beluga Whale is an Arctic and sub-Arctic cetacean (a marine mammal of the order Cetacea ; a whale, dolphin, or porpoise). Belugas are also called ‘white whales’ (beluga comes from the Russian word “bielo” meaning white), as their unusual color makes them one of the most familiar and easily recognizable of all the whales. Belugas live in small groups called pods.

They are social animals and good vocal communicators, and can also mimic a variety of other vocal sounds. Beluga feeds on fish, crustaceans, and worms. There is simply so much to know about belugas and all of it is simply brain-tickling content.
