It has been rumoured that Grand Theft Auto VI might become the first entry in franchise history to star a female as well as a male protagonist. Since the inception of the series, going back to its 2D days, a male protagonist sat in the front and center always. While GTA’s main characters have been admirably diverse in terms of race and social class, female characters have not yet received a fair shake. Even in secondary or tertiary roles, even women in GTA V are often relegated to chuckle-worthy archetypes. But the next round in GTA 6 rumours mill suggests that this could change in the future.

According to Tom Henderson, the next GTA entry will feature two main protagonists – one male, one female. Thus, if the protagonist-related rumours prove true, it will create for the franchise. These rumours might not come to a halt anytime soon, given that GTA 6 won’t launch for a long time. However, the prospect of multiple playable characters returning doesn’t sound far-fetched. GTA V enabled players to switch between three different characters for the main story and it worked pretty seamlessly. It’s more than possible that Rockstar Games aims to refine its character-switching system for a new GTA installment, but the identities are likely to remain a mystery until the studio’s ready to show more.

As of now, players can get their Rockstar fix by continuing their adventures in GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, the two of these feature robust and evolving online offerings. If you liked reading this one, check out KFConsole : The Gaming Console That Will Keep Your Chicken Wings Hot!
