Well, I know, the way it started with terms like ‘hyper’ and ‘project’, it was not that interesting until the name ‘Haikyuu’ appeared, right? I mean, every weeb knows what I’m talking about, and in case you absolutely love Haikyuu but are wondering what this project-thing is, well, you sure are in for a treat today!
These kinds of things are one of the many reasons why I love Japan, especially if you are a weeb, Japan is surely no less than heaven when it comes to anime! Hyper Project Engeki: Haikyuu is a blessing in disguise. Haikyuu stage play is a 2.5D stage play which is based on the manga Haikyuu! Yes, I know, you must be already going crazy right now but hear it out a bit more. So, the stage play started in 2015, yes that old, and has already engaged over 320,000 viewers to date! I mean, it’s not that shocking considering the fact that everyone loves these teams of beautiful volleyball-loving freaks! Anyway, it, of course, is something that is hosted in Japan and is directed by Worry Kinoshita and written by Norihito Nakayashiki.

The play will give you a brilliant effect of the entire manga in a manner that you will feel like you are watching manga and anime in live form! Yes, same scripts but this time, done by real people, with all the effects which again, are given by these people. The multitalented cast not only dances but sings and acts as well! The full package basically.
Although getting it exclusively out of Japan is no easy task, but you can still track it down on YouTube or Instagram, saviors seriously! I know you are already getting too anxious and impatient to read it as it will be much better if you can go check it out, right? So, please, feel free to leave and enjoy the live version of Haikyuu! And a tip from one weeb to another, be ready because they all are super cute!
