Come December, and Ireland-based game company John and Brenda Romero will finally be launching Empire Sin -it’s much awaited game set in the world of crime, mob bosses and the underworld. Godfather much?
Set in 1920s Chicago, known as the Prohibition era in the United States, the game deals with setting up empires of crime, ruled by once all-powerful bosses. Now barely managing to survive, each crime boss needs to assemble from scratch, their own cohort of loyal team members, use a combination of strategies involving intimidation, seduction and murder even. All in the effort to become the next mob king, or queen of the city.
In this bid, players are expected to give in their all to secure their empires. Navigate through the black market, run rackets, set up clandestine businesses behind pretty fronts and venture into breweries, casinos and brothels even if need be. Of course, at times it all boils down to bad ‘ol violence and bullets and bloodshed. Empire Sin’s got you covered here with its combat gameplay too. The game features 14 historically inspired bosses – these include Goldie Garneau , Al Capone and Stephanie St. Clair. Fancy, I’d say.
Come December, and the game will launch on a bunch of platforms like PC. the PlayStation, XBox One and Nintendo Switch (PS5 and the new Xbox Series line up too we hope?) All at 39.99 USD for the standard version.
The Deluxe edition will feature the base, a weapon set, gangsters that you can recruit, amongst other things. Pay more for the Premium edition and you get access to fur coat costume to strut around in the game. With other add-ons of course.
And while we all wait for it, let’s check out other games, shall we?
