Swedish Blogger Makes Traditional Pastries With Her Own Milk

Now before you jump to conclusions thinking it’s quite normal back there, no, it’s not! However, one food blogger found a way to make her St. Lucia Day extra special. It is the time of the year when the country loves gorging on delicious lussebullars (a kind of saffron buns).

Jennifer Barmer of Living Green, a vegan food blog, says that it was her husband who first suggested the idea, “He has several friends who have baked using breast milk.”

Even though we know Sweden as one of the most tolerant countries in the world, Barmer’s signature recipe attracted significant attention and rapidly went viral on the social media.

While some people are feeling disgusted and ‘yucky’, many other women have come forth in support saying even they have tried it in making things such as pancakes.

While we think this could be the start of another social media trend, you can give Ms Barmer’s recipe a try here.
