In Illinois live two snails who are gliding through plastic slides, riding in tiny limousines, playing video games, drinking coffee, laying in the pool, dancing in a disco and having the time of their lives. Thanks to the innovative designer duo Aleia Murawski and Sam Copeland, these two gliders are living the dream in miniature scenes and worlds curated especially for them to slowly, very slowly slip into. The creatives recreate popular TV scenes, only with a twist. And oh, what a glimy twist it is! Their little snail videos will make your day

As the most creative things in the world are, this project was a result of two random unrelated occurances. During the time the duo was trying its hands at miniatures, Copeland discovered two snails. After realizing their ministries were, in fact, snail-sized, the amalgamation was instant. The slimy draggers were already their pets by then – all that was needed was their involvement in these teensy worlds.
In this great bake off, who wins?
Murawaki and Copeland started integrating random objects into their scenes – objects they would find on their walks or drives. Their inspiration?
The Sliming. We mean, The Shining. But we are definitely not getting spooked this time.
TV shows and movies, the very things they recreate in these scenes when they show us a skateboarding snail, perhaps a snail with a 8-5 job who is burnt out, one smoking a cigarette, one living in a tiny apartment and more. Sometimes, these scenes would look back nostalgically at American suburbs, striking an amusing cord witb us.
Now that’s an American classic the snails want to be a part of.
Now you must be wondering how on earth are they making snails behave as they want to?. To achieve the impossible, the duo puts cucumber pieces behind tiny objects of their sets. The snails, who we assume are foodies, show slow signs of movement.
The power of Christ compels you!
In these sets are captured images and short films that make the world glad for these two tiny buggers.
To test their creativity, the duo created an entire miniature neighborhood in 2019. Here they shot their popular music video, Bully. The video shows us a day in the life of a sluggish snail waking up, eating, breaking up, playing games, eating dinner, falling in love and breaking up. Very, very slowly.
