Plants must have enough water and sunshine to live. Despite being provided with everything they require, some of them wither and die. But why is this the case? This is because they need an optimal environment to grow, from when to water and when to expose them to sunshine, everything needs to be watched. Unlike our pets, it’s too bad that plants are unable to interact with humans and tell us when they need what. However, now there is a gadget that can turn your plant into a pet!
While those with a green thumb may quickly detect the indications, others of us can hardly understand what our plants are trying to tell us. As a result, Mu Design developed Lüa, a smart planter that can turn your favourite houseplant into a virtual pet.
After monitoring soil moisture, light exposure, and temperature, sensors in the planter activate an emotion animation on an LED panel. You may customize the planter’s settings through the app by selecting which type of plant you don’t want to kill; Lüa then transforms your houseplant into a member of the family.
Lüa wakes up and sleeps just like a real pet, with its eyes tracking activity. If the temperature is too low, it might acquire a cold or a fever, teeth chattering and all. When everything is OK, it has a lovely grin, but if your plant is parched, it pants. If there isn’t enough light, it transforms into a vampire, which is adorable.
You simply need to link your phone to the planter by installing a smart app and scanning a QR code with your planter. You must also choose the type of plant so that you know exactly what your tiny companion requires at the time. The planter’s screen can display 15 distinct emotions indicating fundamental plant demands such as more sunlight or water. It also makes a lovely squinting expression to let you know whether your creation’s recent tropical downpour was a little too much or if it’s too chilly.
