Helping others always brings a unique kind of joy that cannot be achieved elsewhere. Especially if that help is given to an animal. This story is of one such animal that had a great human by its side. Thanks to that human, the tiny animal is now living the best of its life! We are talking about a pet store manager in San Antonio, Derek Brunett. While the pet in question is a tiny goldfish. A woman brought a tiny goldfish to Derek’s store one day. As soon as Derek realized that something was wrong with the fish, he decided to do a little something to make the fish happy! And he succeeded!
So what is the story exactly?

A woman brought a beautiful goldfish to Derek’s store one day. However, the fish had a swim bladder disorder. The disorder hindered the fish from swimming around freely. It did not sit well with Derek. The sight of the goldfish just laying at the bottom of a corner did not please him at all. So Derek, who has also studied marine biology, decided to help the fish. And you won’t believe it, but Derek successfully made a wheelchair for the goldfish! And to everyone’s surprise, the wheelchair works perfectly for the fish and it is much happier than before!
Wheelchair! But how?
Derek says that this kinda wheelchair is made with aquarium-friendly materials. So, the fish is safe. Nothing to worry about in that department. He says that he used airline tubing and some valves. The valves were placed on the bottom while the tubing surrounds the fish. It basically creates a wheelchair-type structure for the fish. Next was some weight to the chair while styrofoam to float the fish. Then he created a perfect balance between the both so that the fish can swim around freely. Now, that’s a true genuine hero we didn’t know we needed!
Derek says that the fish is too precious for him and is like a family member. Well, this story sure proves that humanity is still alive among us. Not to forget about the beautiful bond that one can create with an animal besides their fellow human relations, correct?
