Okay, first things first. Yes ‘How I Met Your Father’ is really in the making! And we are finally getting a spin-off of one of the most hilarious shows that made it to television for a good nine seasons – ‘How I met Your Mother’! HIMYM is the kind of series that we re-watched in the hopes of getting a reunion, maybe. However, unlike FRIENDS, the HIMYM fans were not that lucky when it comes to a classic reunion of their favourite show. But guess what? The show has decided to do something much better- a spin-off- How I met Your Father! It’s hard to believe but yeah, brace yourself for one more wild ride about a parent telling their kid about a lovely story about their past. No doubt the series is going to be legen-wait for it-dary!

So, what is ‘How I Met Your Father’ about?
Well, should you really be asking this? The plot is pretty much obvious, but this time it’s going to be about a mother telling her kid about the story of how she met the kid’s father. But the fun part is that we know who this mother is going to be! Yes, you won’t believe it, but it’s none other than Hilary Duff. The Disney kid from the 90s and 2000s who has millions of fans already. The show will again talk about a squad, only this time, it will be in the era of advanced technology and social media. Hilary, who plays the protagonist here, is named Sophie. And will be telling this long story to her son. The show will star Francia Raisa, Chris Lowell, Tien Tran, Suraj Sharma, Tom Ainsley, and Brandon Michael Hall alongside Hilary Duff.
When and where to watch the series?
Well, the series was supposed to be out in 2014 but then was delayed to 2017. However, in 2017 as well, the series did not sit well with timings. But thanks to a fantastic and dedicated team of writers and creators like Elizabeth Berger, Issac Aptaker, Craig Thomas, and carter Bays, the series is all set to come out possibly in 2022. And the streaming platform which will be assisting with the show’s premiere will be our very own Hulu. So, in a nutshell, as far as a good comedy series is concerned, good times are near for comedy genre lovers.
So, now that you know a story about meeting the father is in the works. How long do you think it will take the father to actually appear in the series?
