The Godfather

Directed by Francis Coppola, starring Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, and Diane Keaton, this movie is everything one looks and hopes for in a mafia movie. Without an ounce of doubt, Godfather naturally comes as one of the most famous mafia movies ever made in the history of cinema. The old boss of a large organized crime dynasty wants to transfer the power and control of the huge empire to his son who is not very keen on doing so. The dialogues are so good! Like, ‘I’m gonna make him an offer, he can’t refuse’ by Don Vito Corleone. I am sure you have heard of this dialogue in your life at least once. It is one of the highest-rated movies in the history of cinema and a perfect movie to watch with friends and families. People from all around the world claim Godfather to be their favorite movie and I have to say that it is a great choice.
Goodfellas

Released in 1990, directed by the legendary Martin Scorsese, starring Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta, Joe Pesci, and Lorraine Braco, Goodfellas is another mafia movie that is short of absolutely nothing. The story follows the life of Henry Hill and his part in the crime organization, along with the relationship with his wife, Karen Hill, and his partners, Jimmy Conway and Tommy DeVito. The story is so enthralling and the direction so on the point that it makes it difficult for any person to not like it. A very famous dialogue by Henry Hill was ‘Every once in a while, I’d have to take a beating. But by then, I didn’t care. The way I saw it, everyone takes a beating sometimes.’ Hats off to the scriptwriter!
Donnie Brasco

Directed by Mike Newell and starring a fabulous star cast of Al Pacino, Johnny Depp, Donnie Brasco was and will be one of the most fulfilling movies ever. The story is based on an FBI undercover agent who joins a criminal organization and gradually finds himself identifying more with the mafia life. One of the most famous dialogues was ‘When they send for you, you go in alive, you come out dead, and it’s your best friend that does it’. Chills. Literal chills.
Pulp Fiction

Even if you haven’t seen the movie (why haven’t you already) you have probably heard about this movie’s name. Directed by the talented Quentin Tarantino and starring John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Samuel Jackson, and Bruce Willis, this movie is the complete package of what one could look for in a mafia movie. The movie focuses on two criminal hitmen, a boxer, a gangster, and his wife, and a pair of diner goons. There’s violence, action, and redemption. It makes you want to jump inside the movie and fight alongside the star cast. Dialogues that were written were funny and dramatic at the same time. It made Pulp Fiction what it was. ‘Say what one more time, I dare you, I double-dare you m*****f*****!’ said Jules, is an iconic dialogue.
The Godfather: Part II

It only makes sense that Francis Coppola made a second part to The Godfather. No one can have enough of this movie. Starring Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Robert Duvall, and Diane Keaton, the second part was just as good as the third. This movie focuses on the early life of Vito Corleone in the 1920s while his son, Michael expands his grip on the family crime syndicate. The most famous dialogue that we have heard or even use a lot is ‘Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer’ by Michael Corleone.
