Earlier this year, global tech giant made its entry into the gaming world with its gaming app. While the app was supposed to come out in June this year, call it the COVID effect or just super efficiency, but Facebook released the app for Android in April itself. Here are some of the things you should know about the app.
Does Apple have it too?
Yes, it does. The Apple App store got the app on its platform in August – nearly four months after the app’s android version was launched. However, this came at the end of a prolonged back and forth. Predominantly because Apple being a bit too uneasy about the Facebook Gaming application being a platform where users could play as well as stream games. They weren’t too taken in by the former. Facebook had to eventually let go of the instant gaming feature of their app for iOS users.
What do you get to do?
The app is intended for those who want to play games as well as stream them. The app is modeled partly on what global leading streaming platform Twitch offers. Except, Facebook aims at doing away with some of the glitches experienced on Twitch. Through features like the Go Live button which enables you to start playing and streaming the game in an instant.
Options galore
The application is loaded with some really popular and exciting titles. From Candy Crush Saga, Pearl’s Peril and Criminal Case, to Dragon City, Throne Rush and Hero Wars there’s a game for every mood. Every season.
