Money Heist Season 5 is one of the most eagerly awaited Netflix show of the year, especially after the way Season 4 had left all of us on a cliffhanger. Earlier this year after a long torturous wait, we were finally greeted with the announcement of Season 5, which has now been revealed to be a two-part season: Volume 1 premiering on September 3rd and Volume 2 releasing on December 3rd.
We were all heartbroken when our girl Nairobi died; overjoyed when ex-cop Raquel Murillo, aka Lisbon, managed to join the gang inside the Bank of Spain; shocked to the core when Professor was discovered by rogue police officer Alicia Sierra. Emotions were running high when Season 4 came to an end but our expectations and hopes for Money Heist Season 5 couldn’t have been higher!
Now that it has been revealed that this Season will be the end of this amazing series, and the release date is closer than ever, here is all that can be expected from Money Heist season 5 on September 3rd.

Money Heist Season 5: Episodes
Netflix’s Media Center confirmed that this season would be 2 episodes longer than the other seasons of this show, so this grand finale will be wrapped up in a total of 10 episodes.
The makers of the show revealed that Miguel Ángel Silvestre (you might remember him from Netflix’s original series Sense8) would join the cast for the finale and fans are speculating he might be a new villain for the final season. Another new cast member announced for season 5 was Patrick Criado, most known for his roles in The Aspirant, Plastic Sea, and The King. In a series of leaked BTS pictures, he was seen standing with Berlin, thus suggesting he will be appearing in flashback scenes.Netflix also revealed another new cast member, José Manuel Seda on their social media and teased the fans by portraying him as a new villain for the show.
Pedro Alonso, playing Berlin, posted numerous pictures of himself on the sets of Money Heist season 5. Judging by the leaked behind the scenes pictures and going by Vancouver Media’s suggestions, Berlin will be returning, much like the previous seasons, in this season with some flashbacks!
Although Nairobi was killed by Gandía last season, she has been listed to appear in season 5, episode 1 of the show! Which means we might get to see a bit more of her this season. For Nairobi!
You might remember a unique rendition of ‘Bella Ciao’ being sung by Najwa Nimri, who plays Alicia Sierra, in the last episode of season 4. Fans are speculating that, since the song was previously only sung on-screen by those loyal to the cause, this might be a sign that Sierra could end up joining the Professor and his gang for season 5! It’s just a fan theory for now, but if it turns out to be true, oh boy!
A Female Twist?
Showrunner Alex Pina revealed that fans will get to see a lot more of the female robbers in the upcoming season. He said that they would be playing a very, very crucial role and that they have added a new twist involving women for the final season!
Money Heist Season 5: Get Ready For An All-Out War
Alex Pina, in an interview, termed the finale as “the most epic and exciting season” and confirmed that season 5 will effectively be an all-out war saying “the gang will now be pushed into irreversible situations, into a wild war. It is the most epic part of all the parts we’ve shot.” He continued, saying that the war will reach “its most extreme and savage levels”.
With all the fan-theories floating around and September peeking right around the corner, we cannot wait for all hell to break loose, one last time!
