The countries listed below received positive reviews from vegan tourists, and have a vegan-friendly population too. Have you ever been to any of these? Let us know in the comments, and tell us your favorite places!
Israel

Along with its mesmerizing architecture, Israel’s most popular dishes are also meat-free. If you are a vegan or vegetarian, you have probably tried hummus and falafel! Israel’s salads are also delicious, made with some spices and olive oil for garnishing. There are more than 700 vegan and meat-free listings in Israel, and the number just keeps increasing.
India

With the largest number of vegetarians here than any other country in the world, India offers a multi-cultural cuisine to vegans. Most of the popular dishes (and some of my favorites) like Pav Bhaji, Gol Gappe, and curries don’t even have a single speck of animal products! Especially in rural areas, people are unfamiliar with the trends and religiously follow their culture and tradition. It is a beautiful thing, and vegetarian and vegan restaurants can be found everywhere.
Australia

Bet you didn’t see this one coming! Australia has a high rate of vegan population or people who strictly eat plant-based diets. After all, Australia was the 3rd fastest growing market for vegan products in 2018! Their famous dishes include Lamingtons and Vegemite on Toast. If you love to try vegan food, Australia is a must-visit as the people encourage veganism.
Taiwan

In a country where the government heavily promotes residents to eat a ‘meat-free day’ once a week, you should expect some good-quality food while traveling. Taipei, the capital city, currently has one of the fastest-growing vegan-friendly restaurants in the world! 1/3rd of the population follows Buddhism, which has a large number of vegetarians. From dried tofu to green onion cakes, you will surely find a large amount of vegan street food too.
Canada

More than 3 million Canadians are either vegan or vegetarian according to a recent study. The younger generation is more likely to choose veganism or vegetarianism, which is what makes Canada’s youth special. Vegan pancakes with maple syrup are just a starter! Numerous restaurants offer vegan food, and the people are kind enough to also recommend some. So don’t be afraid to ask about it!
On my way to have some mouthwatering pakoras! Which is your favorite vegan food?
